Coronado Solar finder Sol Ranger

The Coronado solar finderscope is a safe way to aim the telescope towards the sun. While the sun is easy to find in the sky, getting a telescope into a small field of view can sometimes be a bit challenging. The solar finderscope is attached to the solar telescope, pointing it in the same direction as the telescope. Telescope is moved towards the sun, the light disc of which is first faintly visible on the surface of the finderscope glass. When the solar disk is clear and sharp in the center of the finderscope, it will also appear in the image field of the telescope.

Only as an accessory to the solar telescope, does not work like a viewfinder tube due to the milk glass.
