The dovetail bar has a very solid construction and holds even heavy telescopes without vibration. The dovetail is uncompromisingly lightweight, so that the mount is not unnecessarily loaded. Nevertheless the dovetail bar offers a high stiffness due to a well dimensioned wall thickness.

Four oblong holes, suitable for M6 and 1/4" hexagon socket screws, allow flexible mounting of tube rings or other components such as ball heads or dovetail clamps. This makes the bar ideal for the self-construction of a flexible parallel mounting.

The dovetail bar fits the following mounts among others:

• All mounts with Losmandy Level quick coupler;
  
• Losmandy mounts: GM8, G-11, titanium, ...
• Celestron mounts: CGEM, CGEM-DX, CGE Pro, ...
  
• Skywatcher mounts: NEQ6, AZ-EQ6, EQ8, ...
