G3M462C

The G3M462C is a camera equipped with a Sony IMX462 color sensor, which is best suited for photographing the moon and planets and as a guide camera. This model is an improved version of the well-established G3M290 -series.
The camera's 2.9µm pixels are also suitable for planetary photography with shorter focal length telescopes. At full resolution, the camera produces shooting speeds of up to 152 fps, and in Region of Interest (ROI) mode it is significantly faster when the camera is reading a smaller area of the sensor. In order to maximize the recording speed, it is advisable to save to the computer directly to the SSD drive.

DDR3 Buffer
The camera features a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 transmission interface and incorporates 512MB of DDR3 memory, ensuring reliable and secure data transfer. This setup effectively prevents frame dropping and significantly minimizes the amp glow effect resulting from slow reading speeds during long exposure times needed for deep sky imaging.
