G3M662C

The G3M662C is a camera equipped with a Sony IMX662 color sensor, which is best suited for photographing the moon and planets and as a guidecamera. The camera's 2.9 µm pixels are especially suitable for planetary imaging with a shorter focal length telescope. At full resolution, it produces shooting speeds of 107 fps, and in Region of Interest (ROI) mode, it shoots even faster when the camera reads a smaller area instead of the entire sensor for each frame. In order to maximize framerate it is recommended to save the images directly to an SSD drive. The camera sensitivity has been improved compared to previous models and this model achieves over 90% QE.

DDR3 Buffer
The camera features a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 transmission interface and incorporates 512MB of DDR3 memory, ensuring reliable and secure data transfer. This setup effectively prevents frame dropping and significantly minimizes the amp glow effect resulting from slow reading speeds during long exposure times needed for deep sky imaging.
